Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is designed to acquire high technical knowledge and skills as well as good attitude of graduates in-line with Malaysia Education Blueprint 2015-2025. The objective is to provide students with industry related engineering knowledge, scientific skills, computing and analysis, mathematical techniques, a sound knowledge of English to communicate in the field and ability to apply problem-solving techniques.

The Journey .

The followings are what you will study as a student of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at FTKM, UTeM.

Year 1

Basic subjects to enhance the knowledge on fundamental theories in Mechanical Engineering. In this first year, this also includes English language, integrity and anti-corruption, ethics and civilization.

Semester 1 and Semester 2

Engineering Graphics, Fundamental physics, Chemistry, Engineering Mathematics, Computer Programming and Technology and Engineering Workshop Practices.

Semester 3 and 4

Thermodynamics, Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Pneumatic and Hydraulics, Mechanics of Machines and Diploma Project.

Year 2

Fundamental core subjects of Mechanical Engineering.

Year 3

In this final semester, student will undergo 16 weeks of industrial training to complete the diploma.

Semester 5

Industrial Training.
