Prototyping & Innovation Lab

Prototype and Innovation Laboratory serves as a hub for training, teaching and learning, research and development, technological advancements in the realm of design, product development and manufacturing. Equipped with the latest 3D printing/additive manufacturing (AM) technologies, our laboratory is a playground for product development and innovation. The laboratory has diverse range of 3D printers, including stereolithography (SLA), selective laser sintering (SLS)/selective laser melting (SLM), fused filament fabrication (FFF)/fused deposition modeling (FDM), customised AM system and 8 axis robotic wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM). The laboratory is also equipped with laser cutting, machining, vacuum casting and others. This extensive array of machines allows us to work with researchers and industries to meet their needs.


Equipments .

The Aurora Labs Titanium Pro is one of the most versatile and affordable metal 3D printing solutions on the market. The open software lets you change parameter settings and use 3rd party material as no other system on the market. 

The Titanium Pro is the perfect system for universities and research institutions due to the open mindset of the system combined with the affordability and big build envelope (200 x 200 x 250mm).

Charly 2U is compact and easy-to-use Milling machine. Especially fit for preparing specimen in “dogbone” shape, or any other shape, for tensile tests or other material tests. Frame is built from a welded steel structure. With a fixed gantry and a mobile table in Y, to create a robust Milling machine. Spindle 800 W, for rotational speed from 8.000 to 24.000 rpm. Max milling tool diameter 8mm. Charly Graal 2D Software 2D CAD module, 2,5 axis CAM module for toolpath processing and driving module for Milling Machine. Accepts .ISO and .PCB format.

The CubePro Duo is a 3D printer capable of printing with up to two colors of ABS, PLA, and Nylon materials, at resolutions as fine as 70 microns. Design models up to 9 x 10.75 x 9.5″ in volume, or larger if using just one extruder, and the CubePro will build them by melting plastic in thin sheets, depositing layer upon layer until they form a three-dimensional object.

The DX is a 3D printer produced by CreatBot. It uses the Fused Filament Fabrication technology to produce thermoplastics parts using filament feedstock. It offers a build volume of 300 × 250 × 300 mm.

This microplasma machine has a standard gas metering system, the centrifugal pump is within the cooling unit. This plasma welder comes with a plasma torch, electrode setting gauge and workpiece lead with clamp.
