This research laboratory relates to vibration and acoustics studies including structural dynamics, vibration isolation, vibro-acoustics, acoustic materials, noise control and building acoustics. With our sophisticated equipment, we involve and offer  various services on vibration monitoring and analysis to oil & gas, and power plant industries.


Equipments .

The vibration shaker is used to inject vibration energy to test structures to simulate ambient vibration condition. Electromagnetic shaker uses permanent magnets and are available as portable and stationary systems.

This is a vibration shaker that can provide force 200 kgf to 600 kgf. Ideal for screening of small electronics assemblies, automotive components, handheld units, storage devices, connectors. A large diameter armature with high cross-axial stiffness will allow using a proportioned head expander to test multiple specimens simultaneously yet achieving good vibration transmissibility ratio. Other test requirements including transportation vibration simulation, combined vibration-climatic test and seismic simulations for small size components.

A sound level meter (SLM) is a device used to measure the sound pressure level (SPL) in decibels (dB) of sound waves. It is commonly used to monitor noise pollution in various environments, such as workplaces, construction sites, concerts, and residential areas.

RION Class 1 SLM (with low frequency sound) – NL62 and RION NA-28 (2 units, equipped with NX-28BA card for Building Acoustics analysis, such as reverberation time and sound transmission index measurement)

A sound intensity probe is a device used to measure the sound intensity or acoustic power of a sound wave. Unlike a sound level meter, which measures the sound pressure level, a sound intensity probe directly measures the sound power or acoustic energy flux density of the sound wave.

A sound intensity probe consists of two microphones separated by a known distance, which are used to measure the sound pressure at two different points. By calculating the difference in sound pressure between the two microphones and taking into account the distance between them, the sound intensity can be determined.

GRAS Intensity probe

A Rotational Vibrometer can conduct non-contact measurements of the angular velocity and angular displacement of rotational vibrations on any shape of rotating structure. It can precisely analyze the rotational dynamics of drivetrains, gas turbines and electrical generators, thus enabling one to perform troubleshooting operations quickly.

Polytec RLV-5500

An impedance tube is used to measure the absorption coefficient of absorbing materials. Our tube is own constructed aluminum tube based on the ISO 10534-2:1998 using transfer-function method with two acoustic microphones.

A signal analyzer or Data Acquisition (DAQ) system is a device or system used to measure and analyze various types of electrical or physical signals in real-time. A DAQ system consists of hardware and software components that work together to collect and analyze data from sensors, transducers, and other signal sources.

Data Physics, ADASH, LDS Dactron Photon+, Vabbit Pro

A vibration transducer, also known as a vibration sensor or accelerometer, is used to measure the vibration or acceleration of an object or structure. It converts mechanical vibrations or acceleration into an electrical signal that can be measured and analyzed.

Dytran (5 units, 10 mv/g), PCB (3 units, 100 mV/g) and CNC (4 units, 10 and 100 mV/g).

A force transducer is a device used to measure the force or load applied to an object. It converts mechanical force into an electrical signal that can be measured and analyzed. 

PCB (2 units) and Dytran (2 units)

An acoustics microphone is used to convert sound waves or acoustic pressure variations in air into an electrical signal that can be recorded, processed, or amplified.

GRAS (6 units)

This software is used to simulate the vibration behaviour of a structure through Modal Analysis, Operational Modal Analysis and Experimental Modal Analysis.

VA-One is a software for vibro-acoustics analysis and design used in automotive NVH, aircraft and train cabin noise and also other interior and exterior noise. The method utilises the analysis of flow of vibration and acoustic energy trough the coupled sub-systems. From here, the vibration amplitude in a structure and sound pressure in a room can be determined.
